During our 4 night stay we never encountered anyone but friendly staff in all areas. They were helpful in directing us to the sights of Old Quebec as well as available tours. There was easy access to Rue St. Jean one of the main streets which allowed us to walk about the old city easily using the hotel as a base. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

A very good hotel. The only inconvenience was parking. There is a valet service, but since old Quebec was not designed for automobiles then hotels must retrofit parking, and that means that your car is not easily available to you if you happened to forget something in the car (ie sunglasses). The staff were completely bi-lingual and very helpful at all times. The rooms are very nice. The elevators are quite slow, but that’s a very minor inconvenience. The hotel is well located to everything in old Quebec city.

September 2007 (Month Visited) — "We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this hotel. It has all been renovated, and the rooms are very nice. We had a view of a roof and another building, so that was a disappointment, but otherwise, no complaints. We used the spa for a hot rock massage, which was great, and made use of their nice pool and sauna. Staff were well informed and friendly. All in all, a good stay in a great location in the old city."

Location was outstanding, right in the middle of everything. Once the valet parked our car, we didn't need it for the rest of the weekend. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The casual restaurant served a delicious prix fixe menu, which included wine, for half what we would normally expect to pay. Overall, we thought it was a very good value compared to other hotels within the Old City walls. Best of all, the staff treated us like VIPs even though we were barely presentable when we arrived. We had just arrived from PEI where we were camping in the rain!

We would certainly book this hotel again. The hotel and amenities were lovely. The staff friendly, courteous and very helpful. The location was within walking distance of everything old Quebec has to offer. We particularly enjoyed the secure parking and dinner at the Table du Manoir. On site pool and sauna was a nice bonus. Traveller's tip on local attractions Leave your car in the garage and walk to local attractions.

Exceeded expectations! This is a first-class hotel where the the facilities are top-notch and all the staff eager to help. The location is central to all the major attractions of the Old City. Having no prior recommendation, I was hoping that the hotel would be decent, but it far surpassed all my expectations. Traveller's tip on dining For a welcoming cafe experience try the informal Paillard cafe and bakery around the corner.
