We visited Quebec City in May. My sister and I took the trip up from Ottawa/Montreal by train and met my Aunt and Uncle from New Brunswick. The folks are in their late 70's and it was a reuinion of sorts for the 2 brothers. The hotel is walking distance from the train station and several restaurants in the area. We dined one evening at a Mediteranene - bring your own wine. Restaurant L'Aubergine 319 rue St. Paul - these 2 guys did a great job with our dinner - the food was superb. We also ate a wonderful lunch, close to the hotel in the opposite direction on 160 rue St. Paul - Mistral Gagnant - french provencal. Two doors up from the hotel was a great bakery called boulangerie Paul - pick something up and bring it back to your hotel and enjoy! Many tours can be booked from the hotel. On one of the days it was rainy and cold so we took a taxi to a large shopping mall - Promenades St. Foy, lots of stores to lose yourself in. The hotel had an elevator which came in handy at times for the folks but the stairs to the second floor were just as convenient. There is a breakfast nook that serves cereals - toast - juice - contential style and included with the room fee. Beds were comfortable and the rooms kept clean. No complaints and would consider staying there again.
