Auberge Saint-Antoine

Auberge Saint-Antoine

In the heart of Québec city’s Old Port, the Auberge Saint-Antoine is a hotel-museum which breathes luxury, comfort and history. Located steps away from the majestic St. Lawrence River, the ramparts, the museums and the bustling streets of Quartier Petit-Champlain, this unique Relais & Châteaux marries harmoniously modernity with traditions of the past. Four structures dating from 1700 to today, tastefully linked, display their riches : 300-years-old beams, slate floors and artefacts unearthed during excavations. In this hub of discoveries, walls speak of the past with the boldness and elegance of the modern day.

There are so many great things to say about this hotel. The interior is beautifully designed without being overdone or losing the original features. Our room was elegant, but cosy with charming little touches. The bathroom had one of the deepest bathes I have seen; heated floors & separate room for the toilet. The staff were very efficient & friendly & we got handmade cookies on check-out. They even told us that where we had intially parked our car in the public car park opposite was cheaper than using the hotel's valet service. As part of evening turndown, they set a classic CD playing softly in the Bose sound-system & leave the evening's TV guide & tomorrow's weather. The location is also excellent - in the heart of the old quarter, yet a quiet street off the main bustle. Quebec has a lot of tourists, but is safe & an easy place to walk around. We stayed for 3 nights & dining was no issue as there are so many good restaurants within an easy walk. We cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Stayed at the Auberge Ste. Antoine over New Years and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is set in a very picturesque part of old Quebec, just outside the wall in amongst art galleries and restaurants. A short walk takes you up past the walled city gates and up to Chateau Frontenac. We toured around all the old city and came back to a warm and cozy Hotel. We spent alot of time in the lounge sitting by the fire drinking and enjoying the wonderful decor.

We had the most amazing experience at this hotel. We were on our honeymoon and both wanted a cute but luxurious hotel and it met all of our expectations and more. It was beyond freezing so the little fireplaces were terrific for enjoying a "French Canadian" that our bartender recommended of which we had several. The rooms were not huge but very modern and elegant with heated floors in the bathroom (which were perfect for the weather outside), capuccino maker, large balcony and most comfortable bed! It was within perfect walking distance to downtown (this hotel is in lower town but still close), shopping and some of the finest restaurants - however Panache is located right at the hotel which is incredible! This hotel and vacation was my favorite in all of my travels and I can't wait to go back - especially to the Auberge St. Antoine!!!!!! Take my word for it .. you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I loved this hotel. Other reviews have mentioned most of the impressive features like the state of the art lighting and bathroom design. There were other nice touches like a magazine stand with a selection of about eight glossy unusual magazines which I enjoyed. We liked the built-in ironing board which tucked away nicely. The blend of artifacts around the hotel with the modern decor gives it much character. It is not a cookie-cutter hotel

World Class Everything about the hotel and our stay was world class. It just so happened that we were there on the hotel’s 15th anniversary celebration to which guests were invited. The affair as all else at the hotel, was handled with style. Could not recommend the hotel more highly. Traveller's tip on local attractions Located in the heart of the "old port" part of the city. Delightfully picturesque especially in the snow!

Fantastic Hotel and People The hotel was beautiful in a great location. Near the port, great restaurants, Old Quebec. The staff were very helpful. Restaurant and lounge on-site were excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.
