Facing the chapel of the Ursulines, the museum occupies a building erected in 1836 on the foundations of the house of Madame de la Peltrie, the Ursulines benefactress, constructed in 1646. A permanent exhibition entitled « Les Ursulines en Nouvelle-France: Mission et Passion » highlights one of the richest ethnographical and artistic collections inherited from the French Regime.
